We were licensed as a Commercial Bank in August 1990 and commenced operation in February 1991. In September 1996, Guaranty Trust Bank plc became a publicly quoted company and in February 2002, we obtained a Universal Banking licence. It is the third biggest bank in Nigeria.

GTBank has tried to show presence in most of the major social networking websites but their flickr photostream has never been updated… atleast it was created That was the first step, Now they should make use of it.

Well, this definitely sets them apart…

GTBank is the first bank I’ve ever heard that has its own toolbar for internet explorer, Safari and mozilla firefox so that their customers can stay in touch!! Go GTBank!!

Another impressive application I found GTBank using in their efforts to keep the customer informed is their online magazine! No, its not a blog. Its like for like, page for page online magazine called Ndani. They might not have a blog but this can still work…if only they update it regularly.
