The Afrigator founders now beginning to enjoy the benefits of being in control. Afrigator subsidiary, Adator teamed up with Ad:Dynamo, a new
South African startup that aims to compete head on with Google Adsense. Ad:Dynamo will mainly handle the cost per click ads while adgator handles cost per impression. As Justin explains on the Adgator blog,
Adgator is now officially a premium publisher with Addynamo and this means that in addition to normal contextual advertising advertisers are able to specifically target your website. For site-specific targeting we’ve negotiated a starting cost per click of $0.8 and this has the potential of rising depending on bids on ads for your site.
Of this $0.8 the split is rather simple:
* Addynamo gets $0.4 (in terms of their 50/50 split with publishers)
* Adgator gets $0.2
* You get $0.2
This $0.8 CPC and your subsequent $0.2 earning per click would not be possible if you went direct to Addynamo. The fact that Adgator is now a premium publisher and our blogs are now able to be site-targeted enables us to command a minimum CPC. For more clarity on this read the blog post over at the Addynamo blog where Sean explains this partnership in great detail.
This should seean increase in ad revenue for adgator. 2010 should be a very interesting year for Afrigator.
Of this R6.00 the split is rather simple:
* Addynamo gets R3.00 (in terms of their 50/50 split with publishers)
* Adgator gets R1.50
* You get R1.50
This R6.00 CPC and your subsequent R1.50 earning per click would not be possible if you went direct to Addynamo. The fact that Adgator is now a premium publisher and our blogs are now able to be site-targeted enables us to command a minimum CPC.
