Youth  between the ages of 14 and 18 in Africa are being challenged to come up with innovative solutions to some problem in their community. The contest has been announced on the Opportunities for Youth (OFY) website:

Opportunities for Youth (OFY) is an informative online portal, created for ambitious young people who have a desire to make an impact in their local communities or the world at large. We are creating this portal to bridge the information gap among young people globally. We believe that you can have a greater impact and better develop your capacities when provided with the appropriate information and opportunities.

The contest is being run by the African Leadership Academy (ALA). From the official contest page:

African Leadership Academy (ALA) today announced the launch of an exciting new initiative: the Africa Innovation Prize, The prize will be awarded to young African leaders between the ages of 14 and 18 who have created an innovative solution to a pressing problem in their community, have demonstrated passion for Africa, and who have academic promise.
