myScoop, the South African blog aggregator has just announced real time fetching of articles from your blog. The functionality is powered by PubSubHubBub.
PubSubHubBub is a simple, open, server-to-server web-hook-based pubsub (publish/subscribe) protocol as an extension to Atom and RSS. In non-geek terms that basically means that it is a thingy which makes your blog be able to tell subscriber services that there’s new content on your blog. Then the other service (in this case myScoop) can come and fetch the new content – in real time.
