Sandbox was founded in May 2009 and is the foremost global community of extraordinary young achievers between 20 and 30. We identify entrepreneurial young people worldwide that already have an impressive impact at a very young age, no matter in what field or industry.
We got to meet one of the Sandboxers, Sebastian Lindstrom a documentary creator and co-founder of What Took You so Long (WTYSL), who introduced us to the Sandbox Network and their intentions to extend it into Africa. Well, the Sandbox Network had it’s first official dinner in Africa in Nairobi.
Africa is an exciting place to be, especially when you are on a quest is to scout out the leaders, the innovators, the people pushing Africa forward. The What Took You So Long crew are tasked with starting the first Sandbox Hub in Africa, here in our base of Nairobi, Kenya.
The Sandbox Network brings together young people (under 30) who are creating change, and leading new innovation all over the world. Sandbox mission is to find the most inspiring young doers worldwide and provide them with a highest-quality peer community, access to senior leaders and resources that help make their ideas happen.
