Mobile Technology in East Africa
In this presentation I take a look at some statistics about mobile technology in Eastern Africa, looking at specific countries in the region.
Overall, the observations are quite consistent:
- Feature phones still rule
- Mobile penetration is increasing steadily in each country
- Mobile is the primary means by which people are accessing the internet
- The majority are prepaid subscribers
